Kingstone bone china

One china service in three colours and four sizes. Bone ash sits above half the body, which the listings tie to a lighter plate and a translucent, milky surface.

Sizes begin at six pieces for two people — the smallest complete service in the catalogue — and end at twenty-four pieces for eight.

What separates these sets

Kingstone Misty Blue China for Four

Colour is the only visual choice

Ivory white, Sakura Pink and Misty Blue share one shape, and none of them carries a printed pattern. A table can therefore be mixed across colours without a clash of decoration.

Kingstone Bone China Set for Two

Two places is a real size here

The six-piece service covers two people completely: two dinner plates, two salad plates, two bowls. For a single household or a small flat it removes the usual problem of buying four and storing two.

Kingstone Bone China Set for Six

Weight in the hand

The listings describe the china as lighter than regular ceramics at the same size, which matters when a plate is carried in one hand or when a cupboard shelf is high.

The service in three colours

Ivory white

The plain version, fired from over half bone ash, in sizes from two places to eight.

Sakura Pink

The same shapes in a soft pink, with the milky translucency described in the listing.

Misty Blue

A muted blue version, available for four, six or eight places.

Bone china questions

How much bone ash is in these plates?
The listings state over fifty percent, with firing at 1320C on one set and 1380C on another. One service gives 43 percent and describes itself as thirty percent lighter than traditional ceramics.
Do the colours match between sizes?
Each colour is listed as a single finish across its sizes, so a four-place set and an eight-place set in Misty Blue are described identically. Nothing in the listings covers batch variation.
Can the china go in the freezer?
One service states freezer use alongside microwave, oven and dishwasher. The other listings state microwave and dishwasher only, so the freezer claim should not be assumed across the colours.
What is in a six-piece service?
Two dinner plates of 10.24 inches, two salad plates of 8.24 inches and two bowls of 6.16 inches — one complete setting each for two people.
